Shannon and Joe’s Rock and Roll wedding day was a feisty mix of animal print, bold reds and elegant lace black. Shannon’s retro style mixed perfectly with Joe’s classic-cool look to make an amazing wedding day style!
Shannon and Joe are high school sweethearts and met at band camp (I’m totally serious) their sophomore year of high school! Joe chose the perfect setting for the proposal – during dessert at the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort! After the manager brought out a “special plate from the kitchen”, Joe got on one knee and proposed, just as the fireworks went off at the Magic Kingdom!
ย Shannon knew she wanted the perfect wedding day to compliment their relationship, and they had to do something spectacular to match that amazing proposal!
Their more traditional ceremony was followed by a rock star cocktail hour, complete with VIP badges and specialty cocktails at their venue, The Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando, Florida. They had an amazing party for their reception, including a red room wash, animal print table runners, custom wine favors, and a fantastic themed candy bar!
The cakes were one of my favorite details though!
The main cake had a Bonnie and Clyde fashioned topper made to look like the bride and groom, and they surprised Joe with his favorite – a Nightmare before Christmas groom’s cake hearse! Dancing to favorites like Thriller and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, their guests partied well into the night to celebrate with Shannon and Joe!
