March 26, 2011 | Orlando, FL
On an *almost* rainy day in late March, Laritza and J.D. got married in a beautifully quiet ceremony in Orlando. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, their wedding day was an absolute celebration of love and luck, with a little fate tossed in, for good measure.
Sometimes I wait until I process all of my favorite images before I start writing a blog post. In rare cases, I’ll actually write before I even start the pictures. But in this case, I started writing sporadically as I worked on the pictures. It was a rare occurrence for me, and I realized that it was simply because I could feel the love they shared just working on their photos! So I’d find myself editing one, then coming back to my blog; editing another, and then back to write. You can feel the affection they share for each other in the small ways they would “have moments” – without any prompting, without any encouragement, they just shared in the joy of each other. And that makes my job ridiculously easy.
Laritza’s flowers were one of my favorite details of her day. They were a gorgeous mix of bright pinks and purples, with amazing white peonies and accents of lime green. It made us feel bright and happy, regardless of what clouds may have loomed overhead. Everything about their day just worked out perfectly, and I was so happy to be there with Laritza, J.D., and all of their family and friends, to celebrate such a beautiful marriage!
Oh! And PS – super jealous of their Paris honeymoon :)

I adored my guys! They were so accommodating :)
JD cleans up well! I couldn’t wait until Laritza saw him!
LOVE getting up close and personal during ceremonies! Anytime we get the chance, we take it. This shot of Laritza’s dad is one of my favorite quiet moments from the day.
Don’t think I didn’t see JD eyeing Laritza during the ceremony! :)
He was catching bubbles… and bugs.
We left just as the party was kicking in to high gear – with a packed dance floor and a super happy bride and groom!
