I love collaborating with people I’ve met on Instagram! This shoot was the culmination of a long time of DM’s trying to coordinate schedules between myself and Briana, who does hair and makeup for brides! A friend of hers, Kate, was getting married soon and we wanted to work with her for some bridal inspiration!
We used gowns from Lillie Mae Collection, and even Kate’s actual wedding dresses! We did a creative hair story for the shoot, matching hair styles with different gowns to represent different Disney princesses. And although we had to wait to share these so we didn’t ruin the surprise of her actual gowns, I like thinking we went a little “villain” with her reception dress on the black background! It was sleek and sexy and I loved the loose tousled style Briana created for it!
For this shoot, I used a hybrid of Digital and Film: Portra 800 and Ilford 3200 (black and white)
