As Andrew would put it, it was “love at second sight” for him and Rebecca. They had met a year prior at a work conference, but it wasn’t until the next year at another work conference where Rebecca and Andrew actually got to know each other. They spent the whole night on the dance floor, and when it came time to head home Andrew helped Rebecca out to her car. Rebecca politely texted him a “thank you” later on. From that one small text – they started a regular witty text exchange.
Andrew came to visit in D.C. where they spent four days exploring together before Andrew headed back to New York. No more than a week later Andrew was back in DC asking Rebecca to be his girlfriend.
After a year of long-distance dating, Rebecca and Andrew moved in together in New York. They decided to go on a Disney cruise as a last “hurrah” before Andrew started his Masters, which is where Andrew proposed! As a couple they love to go on adventures together, and love hosting people. As the perfect party planners, they brought their friends and family down to Orlando for a destination wedding at the Tuskawilla Country Club.
One of our favorite details of the day was the custom charcuterie cones that awaited their guests at cocktail hour! And for those looking for something a little sweet, they designed a complete donut bar as well! At the reception they continued to treat themselves and their guests with a Piccolo coffee bar, a dessert table, and Jeremiahs Italian ice food truck!
I especially loved that they included their puppy Sadie in their wedding day. She even made an appearance at cocktail hour, with a specialty cocktail named after her!
They plan on doing a mini-moon at Disney, since they both love Disney and Andrew proposed while they were on a Disney Cruise!
