Preppy New England Wedding

I love how Florida can be so diverse! When Kristen and Davis were planning their wedding, they knew they wanted to bring aย preppy New Englandย wedding style to one of their favorite places! Visiting Palm Coast on family vacations, they found themselves lounging on the Adirondack chairs by the ocean and enjoying the laid back pace of Florida’s east coast. After meeting on a blind date (set up by Kristen’s boss) in NYC, Davis proposed to Kristen on the beach at Hammock Beach Resort and they knew it would be the perfect location for a wedding weekend with their friends and family! They had since relocated to Texas, so planning a destination wedding wouldn’t have been easy without the help of the team at Hammock Beach!
When it came to style, they chose white, navy and greenery for their attire and details! Davis had an awesome palm tree tie that we all loved, and the bridesmaids wore long sage green gowns from J. Crew. One of my favorite details would have to be her bouquet! Simple, classic white floral with ribbon – it was so pretty and one of my favorite things to instagram! The cocktail hour included copper mules, cornhole and nostalgic family wedding photos for guests. I especially loved that they wrote their own vows that they shared with each other during their first look.
At the reception, Kristen and Davis shared their first dance to a Frank Sinatra song in honor of her grandfather who passed away a few years ago. The ballroom was lit by a large candle wall behind their sweetheart table, and white and gold accents on the tables. The Maxx, who came down from Georgia, played the night away and the party lasted until late at night, before ending with a sparkler exit and getaway in a golf cart to their room! Their #hitchedathammock wedding the perfect infusion of a Cape Cod meets Florida coast style!
