Nicole and Ryan | Sneak Peek
November 9, 2019 at Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate
A chance meeting in college started off this incredible journey for Nicole and Ryan, that ultimately led to a sun-filled walk down the aisle at their Omni Orlando wedding! Without backing up too far – I absolutely fell in love with this amazing couple at their engagement session in Tampa. Getting to work one-on-one with them introduced me to the type of people they really are. Sweet, caring and funny – they’re each other’s perfect balance. Ryan has a calm, go-with-the-flow kind of personality – while Nicole is filled with laughter, excitement and always ready for the next challenge.
When they met in college, Nicole didn’t realize she’d be signing up for years of life as an MLB girlfriend. The highs and lows were always accompanied by an optimistic smile, a long hug or the promise of a new journey. The challenges of their situation have made them learn and grow with each other in a way not many other couples have.
And Ryan knew. On a sunset walk along the beach, Ryan asked Nicole to share his every tomorrow with him.
An Omni Orlando Wedding
Their wedding day was the perfect celebration of their relationship. Though the day started with some clouds, the exact moment Nicole walked down the aisle was lit by the most beautiful sun. I’m pretty sure we all cried a tear or two!
Nicole and Ryan are pretty simple and wanted their wedding to reflect that. They chose shades of gray for their design, modern typography and acrylic details. They had a custom-made donut wall to share VooDoo Doughnuts with their guests before they danced to an upbeat mix of 90’s tunes! For their own personal style, Ryan had his suit custom-made with photos from their engagement session! I loved getting to photograph Nicole seeing it for the first time!
The Switch-Up
And now, let’s talk about the one blurry photo that you’ll see. While helping Nicole with her veil for their photos, Ryan offered to hold my camera. He decided to take a photo – which didn’t come out super great. So we started trying to figure out who would suck less if we traded jobs for a day. And I have to say – I have full confidence that he would still do better as a photographer than I ever would trying to pitch in the major leagues. For those of you who know me – you know how laughable that entire thought is. BUT, I did think it was only fair to give Ryan full copyright credit on his photo.
