The Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota
May 24, 2013ย |ย Jessica and Neil
On a ridiculously warm Friday in May, I joined Jessica, Neil and their families for their beautiful wedding at the Powel Crosley Estate house in Sarasota, FL. Even though I frequently photograph weddings on the west coast of Florida, I have never shot at this gorgeous venue! I’ve heard so many amazing things about it, so I was thrilled that this Ft.
Lauderdale couple chose it for their destination wedding.
Jessica chose soft details in ivory, white and blush pink for her bridal party, complimented by the sleek black and gray tuxes the men wore! Their outdoor ceremony was ocean-side, they danced their first dance right before sunset on the back patio of the estate before relaxing inside for a plated dinner. Besides their beautiful portraits at the front of the house, I’d have to say my favorite detail of the day was the cake! It was beautifully designed and tasted amazing, too!
Jessica added a rhinestone blue bow from her grandmother to the stems of her bouquet for her “Something Blue”, and they placed yellow roses on the ceremony seats of family members that they wished to remember.
Working with Jessica and Neil (and his super fun JC Penny’s modeling family) was a dream!
I couldn’t have asked for a better group to hang out with for the day!

I loved the soft colors that Jessica used, and I’m just obsessed with her veil!
Oh this cake! I probably took 50 pictures of it :)
