Life of the Pawty
I wanted to showcase the gotcha pawty we threw for Nashvilles puppies, but first, a little back story. If you’ve been following me for some time now you probably already know I’m a cat person. I love animals and there’s something about helping them find furever homes that makes me feel exhilarated. I’ve been working with a local animal rescue, The Pixel Fund, for over four years now. I typically foster cats and even had seven kittens birthed in the middle of my studio! During quarantine, The Pixel Fund found a stray dog that was very much pregnant. I figured why not change it up a bit and foster a pregnant dog! I quickly converted my cat room into a dog room. About three weeks later we had puppies!
The Nashville Puppies
We stood there and counted as the puppies came out. Before going to bed we counted seven mini hound/beagle mixed puppies! The next morning we did a headcount and somehow kept coming up with eight puppies. We counted over and over again. I couldn’t believe she had one more puppy overnight! We thought it would be cute to name mama, Nashville. So, it was only right to name her babies after iconic country singers.
As they grew older we took photos each week to document how much they are growing. They played, peed, and even pooped on walls. How? It’s a mystery to me! The Nashville puppies quickly got adopted. These quarantine pups are so special to me so I wanted to throw a little “Gotcha Pawty” for the adopters! We set up a little table with goodie bags, cake, and other sweets from Florida Sweets and Co. Fostering the Nashville puppies has inspired me to create a children’s book! The book is called “The Nashville Puppies” and it teaches kids how animal rescues and fosters save lives and find homes for our furry friends. PreFundia rated my book as one of the top Kickstarters this week! I am so excited to share it with you all! In the meantime, take a look at the Nashville puppies gotcha pawty!
