Thank You a Brunch: A Bridesmaid Brunch Inspiration
There is no better feeling than getting to experience your vision coming to life. As an intern for Kristen Weaver Photography, our big project is to plan and execute a styled shoot. As someone with little event planning and wedding attendee experience, I was a bit nervous at the beginning. I can now confidently say that this has been such a blast, and I’m so glad I was able to learn so much about the wedding industry and work with such wonderful people and vendors along the way.
When coming up with the concept for this styled shoot, I wanted to create something a bit different from your traditional wedding. I wanted to show a bride with her best friends celebrating an occasion so special to her, so I decided to create a bridal shower including a bride with four bridesmaids.

Styled Shoot Preparation
When the interns were first told that we were going to create our own styled shoots, Kristen said that it is helpful to find a country to use as your initial inspiration. I originally chose Italy as it is a country that means a lot to me. As time went on and pieces of the shoot began coming together, a brunch seemed like a better fit for the overall shoot. I was very fortunate in the the majority of vendors I asked to participate in the shoot were very excited about it, which made the planning process much less stressful.
Now let’s get to the big day!
The Venue: Luxmore Grande Estate
Luxmore Grande Estate in Winter Springs, FL was the perfect venue with its beauty and all of the outdoor space to use. I’m so glad the styled shoot took place at Luxmore because it ended up matching the vibe of the entire shoot so well in addition to their staff being so friendly and easy to work with.
The Food
No bridesmaid brunch is complete without delicious food, so when planning this styled shoot, I knew the food was going to be a focal point. Big City Catering really helped my vision come to life with all of the handheld items such as mini pancakes, french toast sticks, and fruit kabobs. The way they added color to each plate made them into mini-presentations that were almost too pretty to eat.
My absolute favorite thing about this styled shoot was partnering with Krisp and creating beautiful rice Krispy treat pops and cakes. In addition to looking amazing, their flavors were the best part. They featured their mimosa, tutti fruity, and rosé flavors.
Our cake was featured on The Knot – 21 Gorgeous Bridal Shower Cakes You (and Your Guests) Will Love!
The Stationery
The Paper Goat Post created stationary that matched the shoot so well! I love the way the flower design is so similar to the flowers we had in person. Having the bridesmaids come together with their “Will you be my bridesmaid?” cards was a shot I was really envisioning when planning the shoot, and I’m so happy with how it came out. The thin, black font they chose gives the stationary such a delicate feel and all of the pieces go together so well.
The Floral
When I first started planning this styled shoot, I immediately knew that there would be so much floral. I knew Flowers by Lesley would be the perfect person to do the job. Lesley kept with the light pink and white color scheme but kept the arrangements interesting by using unique flower varieties including garden roses, spray roses, queen protea, heather, snapdragons, lisianthus, delphinium, anenomes, scabiosa, and mixed foliage. I also wanted to include the white bicycle because it went great with the flowers and the fun vibe of the shoot.
Rental Furniture and Tableware
When it came to furniture rentals, RW Style had anything I was looking for. Putting their Aspen collection furniture set outside was the perfect place for the models to pose. All of their tables and chairs used went great with the decor of the shoot. RW Style has rental pieces perfect for occasions of any style.
Dishie Rentals helped make the table complete. Sheena was so great to work with, and she made sure all of the tableware looked perfect. I chose for the tableware to be blush and rose gold so they would match the rest of the decor. I really like how we decided to alternate the charger plates around the table between rose gold and white to create some diversity.
Models, Hair, Makeup, Attire
KWP’s very own model, Gabby, was the perfect person to be the bride of this bridal brunch styled shoot. She looked amazing in the Hayley Paige jumpsuit provided by Calvet Couture Bridal. The jumpsuit’s low back and simple design made for the perfect bridal party attire. Sheyda, Elizabeth, and Jessica model for Modern Muse and made for perfect bridesmaids. Lea, our fourth bridesmaid, is a local makeup artist that KWP often work with who models and is signed to an agency in Los Angeles. We are so fortunate she was able to be a part of this shoot. All of the bridesmaids’s attire is from ASOS.
LeJeune Artistry brought their team to provide perfect hair and makeup for all five of the models. They did a great job making their hair look natural but flow beautifully. I really wanted their makeup to be natural colors and not be too heavy, which they achieved perfectly. I really like how halfway through the shoot, they changed on their hairstyles slightly by putting Gabby’s hair up and adding a few braids for the bridesmaids.
The Video
I’m so glad Corban from Love and Lustre was able to come and create a video from this styled shoot. They way he added a vintage-looking effect to the video was a really cool way to show off the shoot.
