From New York Bridal Fashion Week to North Carolina for Maggie and Harrison’s Hawkesdene wedding! These past few weeks, months really, have been filled with travels. I joined Tali and Roberta for the sixth time in the Big Apple! After going to all the trunk shows and seeing new wedding designs in the busy city, Hawksdne was a nice shift.
Love is in the Mountain Air
Maggie and Harrison’s love began at Appalachian State University, or so they think. They don’t really remember when they officially met but what they do know is that they are madly in love! They were both involved in Greek life which led to their closest friend group today. After numerous parties, lake days, and having a secret “friendship” they decided to finally make it a real-ationship.
Organic Details
Lively flowers, lush green mountains, and organic details gave Maggie and Harrison’s wedding a sense of ease and romance! Her details were soft with vibrant florals for a preppy feel. I was so excited to use my new floral layflat mat from Olive & Oak and it worked perfectly with her bridal details. They kept their invitations pretty minimal with a beautiful environmental print for their save-the-dates. She wore a gorgeous a-line Martina Liana gown from Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique, adding texture and a cascading bow on the back.
Maggie & Harrison
Finding your person is the greatest feeling in the world. Knowing you have someone to go through every journey with and someone you can be yourself around. Maggie and Harrison harmonize flawlessly together. They are the perfect blend of Maggie’s type-A personality and Harrison’s over-the-top charisma!
Sometimes it’s the small things that keep a strong bond. Harrison has the natural rizz, as Gen Z says. His charisma brings Maggie a sense of calmness. Reminding her to live in the moment. Sometimes it’s as simple as your person refilling your Stanley with fresh water before bed in case you wake up parched at 3AM.
Charlie and George, two cuties with fur all over, were also included in Maggie and Harrison’s special day! They wore blue floral collars with a bowtie to match! Both pups were originally Maggie’s but George quickly gravitated towards Harrison’s silly energy.
Reception
Harrison’s charisma didn’t stop at the ceremony. He carried that energy all the way to the reception and Maggie brought her own energy right there with him! Guests matched their high-energy spirits and had the time of their lives! Candles melted, glow sticks were out, and dancing was unstoppable. That may or may not be because they had a “self-pour” open bar! The day could not have been any more perfect! The gorgeous details, vibrant colors, and natural landscape of the Hawkesdene venue came together beautifully!
