Caroline and Ian had a religious ceremony at Knowles Chapel before celebrating at Alfond Inn in Winter Park! After our first Zoom call, I left feeling very excited. Caroline and Ian are both local architects working for the same firm. Growing up I’ve always had a liking for architecture and design as my mom was an architect herself. Once I got to college I actually worked at my mom’s firm for about two years before landing an internship with the infamous Kristen Weaver Photography! I felt like Caroline and Ian truly appreciate the art of photography and all things design. Which is why Alfond Inn was the perfect venue for them! Alfond showcases art from various artists throughout the property. The building structure itself offers a classic look with a modern flaire.

Knowles Chapel to Alfond Inn

The day started at Alfond Inn where they got ready. The moments before the craziness are always so fun to shoot! There are so many emotions that go through a bride and groom on their wedding day and just seeing the process unfold is amazing. Caroline was calm and excited to see everyone at Knowles Chapel where their ceremony would take place. Her mom and grandmother helped her get into her sleek Ines Di Santo gown from The Bridal Finery! For hair, Caroline rocked a cute ponytail to show off the back of the dress. She also wore beautiful pearl earrings that replicated architectural lines!

One of my favorite things about their wedding was seeing their personality shine. Because I had never met them in person I wasn’t sure how they would be in front of a camera. Once the ceremony started and Ian came out, he walked with his hands out to the side as if he were a celebrity walking out to his own talk show. Everyone started laughing and cheering him on!

From that moment I knew they were going to be a fun couple!

As Caroline walked down the aisle Ian looked so proud and friends and family swooned over how beautiful she looked! After the ceremony ended they had the cutest private moment that I managed to sneak up on so of course I had to take a photo! Being in Florida it was about to storm so they did a quick ceremony exit and met us at Alfond where the party would start! The reception was filled with glorious centerpieces and a long velvet lounge area for guests to hang. The two sat at a long candlelit table alongside their immediate family to share the celebration experience together!

Amy and I had a blast running around Winter Park with you guys!
