Mary Elisabeth and Jon | Sneak Peek

Their engagement session was a personal favorite (hello, field of mini-cows!), so I couldn’t wait to see what Mary Elisabeth and Jon had planned for their Dr. Phillips Center wedding! And although we were dodging rain showers for a majority of the day, the weather cleared just enough for some perfect portrait time after the ceremony! They were married at St. James Catholic Church before heading off to a lively reception at the Dr. Phillips Center!
But let’s back up just a bit! The day wouldn’t have happened without them first meeting online! Their wedding journey may have started with the internet, but it wasn’t until a long hike up Arthur’s Seat overlooking Edinburgh (Mary Elisabeth’s favorite city in Scotland) that Jon proposed! From there, the vacation continued and the real planning began!
Dr. Phillips Center Wedding
Their wedding day was planned by Lisa Stoner and she called in all the best to help make their day perfection. From Mary Elisabeth’s classic Kennedy-inspired wedding gown to lush floral arrangements and a hanging floral chandelier – every detail gave the feeling of a lush garden party in the heart of downtown Orlando! And although there were a large number of “favorite” details for me, the one that I adored the most was that they chose to use Mary Elisabeth’s dad’s ring for Jon. Custom engraved for her dad, now her husband wears this beautiful gold band.
People often ask how I connect with my couples, and truly I couldn’t think of a better example than with these two. Not only do I adore Mary Elisabeth (who I now get to call MEO… wait, or is it now MER??), but when she contacted me, she told me that we share the same favorite book (it’s a laugh… go check it out!). We bonded at their engagement session over her love of animals, and now they’re taking my dream trip to Banff for her honeymoon in December.
