Overcast skies and a slight drizzle couldn’t dampen this winter evening Jewish wedding celebration at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park, FL! Samantha and Aaron were married under the stars and custom Chuppah in this beautiful outdoor ceremony!
Samantha and Aaron | Sneak Peek

Freshman calculus class bonded these two Tulane students together! From college in New Orleans, to their home in Miami, Samantha and Aaron have enjoyed a lot of new journeys together.
But it will be their biggest journey so far that started right here in Winter Park, under a candlelit Chuppah and surrounded by their closest friends and family.
As Samantha tells it, “We met at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. It was our freshman calculus class. We both really disliked the course. Aaron cracked a joke that made me laugh.
Afterwards, I introduced myself and we started chatting. We became fast friends and then starting dating, the rest is history.”
The proposal was well hidden as a birthday celebration for Sam! After planning a delicious dinner in Coconut Grove, they took a walk along the marina where Aaron proposed.
“Just us two, intimate and very ‘us’ – exactly what I wanted,” Sam recalled.
A Jewish wedding celebration at the Alfond Inn
Samantha and Aaron’s wedding day was beautifully planned by Lisa Stoner, who brought in a classic touch to this winter wedding design. Dusty blue velvet linens with bold black accents decorated the Alfond Inn ballroom. The Chuppah was designed by Raining Roses with birchwood, ivy and crystal drop candles. They chose Saturday evening for their ceremony, just after sundown and with the stars in the sky illuminating their nuptials.
Samantha carried a large bouquet of white orchids and wore a gown by Alon Livnè from Solutions Bridal. Her shoes, designed by Badgley Mischka, had a similar fringe design as her gown! Sam also wore her mother’s sapphire ring and grandmother’s pearl earrings (as her something blue and something borrowed!).
Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the conservatory, followed by the couple’s first dance in the ballroom. The Blonde Ambition Band performed some of our favorite hits while guests packed the dance floor all night! And of course, the entire floor was filled for the Hora! One of my absolute favorite Jewish wedding traditions!
