Winter Park Wedding at Casa Feliz
April 19, 2014ย |ย Annie and Jeffrey
Annie and Jeffrey met as students at Duke University when they were set up by their roommates! Jeffrey summed up their “love” for each other on their first date the best by saying “Annie devoured a footlong chili dog on our first date and I knew she was the one!”
Jeffrey proposed during the Illuminations Fireworks at EPCOT (after a romantic dinner at Le Cellier in Canada) and they began to plan their romantic wedding!
Annie and Jeffrey’s love for each other really grew when they played the piano and sang together (Jeffrey is quite the talented musician!). I loved that they brought this part of their relationship to the wedding when Jeffrey played “Your Song” for Annie during the reception. Jeffrey’s family even made a groom’s cake in the shape of a piano and wrote “songs for Annie” on it! It was so sweet and sentimental, and the song was the perfect touch in the reception!
About the Wedding
Just like their love, their wedding day was simple and uncluttered – celebrating the love and support of their friends and family!
Annie chose a palette of a dusty mint green with mixes of wildflowers and lavender in their bouquets. Since the wedding was intercultural, they incorporated tiny touches from both of their families to bring everyone together.
They chose the outdoor historic venue of Casa Feliz for their ceremony and reception.
Chalkboard signs were placed around the venue for their ceremony, signature drinks and guest “book” – which doubled as a seating chart! Guests replaced their escort card with a Polaroid photo of them…
and it was kicked off by Annie and Jeffrey’s sweet pups! Guests then dined under draped market lights and then partied inside with their DJ.
Annie and Jeffrey were sent off with a lavender toss and carriage ride through historic Winter Park, Florida! The next morning, they jetted off to a private villa in Antigua for a romantic honeymoon!
