It was the perfect day for a trip to Jetty Park! Florida brought the cool weather (finally), the sun was out, water was still, and not a cloud in the sky. Recently, I have been struggling to find inspiration and all motivation is out the window. I wasn’t loving anything I was shooting. Then, one day I decided I needed a little change. I completely renovated my office with mid-century decor, focusing on leathers, rusty pink, beige and grays; I took some educational classes and decided to shoot more film again. With a website revamp coming in 2021, I needed some fresh new content to complement the new design!
I really wanted to do an engagement styled shoot at Jetty Park, hoping it would give me the inspo I was missing. We found Bobby and Anthony on Instagram through mutual friends and loved their look. When we reached out to see if they would be interested in doing a faux-engagement shoot they were more than happy to be part of it!
Styling the Shoot
We directed them on the color scheme and styling we were going for. Lucky for me, they have a great sense of personal style already! They brought several options and allowed Gabby and I to style them in the parking lot. I wanted to challenge myself a bit with lighting, so we chose to shoot mid-day (1pm) for that super bright sun that my film craves! The shoot called for a hybrid of film and digital, but while I was shooting film – Gabby shot some extra shots for me with my camera!
I absolutely love how this session turned out, and appreciated Anthony and Bobby trusting my vision! I’m super excited to launch my new site with this amazing session!
