Okay, I have to share this editorial at-home engagement session with Lauren and Joao, because it was such a fun one! They invited me over to their place in Winter Park, FL, and honestly, we didn’t need to go anywhere else.
Our editorial at-home engagement session
We started with them both in white. Lauren wore the cutest crop top and bubble skirt, and Joao kept it easy in white linen. Their clean white walls made the perfect backdrop, so we went a little magazine with it. Still, there was plenty of laughing in between poses, which is always my favorite part.
Pool floats, a drone and a little Moke
Then we headed out to the pool, and I was obsessed. They had a scalloped umbrella, navy lounge chairs and these striped floats bobbing in the water. Of course, I had to send the drone up! From above, that turquoise water looks so good, and those overhead shots might be my favorites of the year.
After that, Lauren switched into a light blue mini dress, and Joao threw on a navy sweater. Their white Moke with Martini racing stripes was sitting in the driveway, so naturally we used it. Finally, we wrapped up their editorial at-home engagement session with a golden hour walk down their oak-lined street.
So if you’re on the fence about shooting at home, do it! You’re comfortable, you’ve got privacy, and it ends up feeling so personal. Plus, an editorial at-home engagement session still gives you that elevated, fashion-forward look.
On to the Four Seasons
