Arrington Vineyards Wedding in Nashville
June6, 2015 | Jami and CJ
I’m not sure what it is about Nashville, but when you go to visit – you always feel like you’re at home. It’s sort of perfect every day of the year, and you’re constantly surrounded by incredible artists, musicians and talent. Besides my love for San Francisco, I’m pretty sure Nashville has my heart!
Jami and Craig had the Nashville wedding of a lifetime! Their details were brimming with homemade recipes, pastel colors, and a rustic style. The couple incorporated their family’s recipes into the evening by having a wide range of delicious pies and cakes to eat, as well as a larger “naked” cake. Jami wore a blush Allure Bridals gown and her bridesmaids chose a dusty blue color from Jenny Yoo. Craig and his groomsmen wore chambray suits with succulent embellished boutonnieres.
The couple kept their family a part of all aspects of the wedding. Jami incorporated her grandmother’s handkerchief on her bouquet, and they displayed a menu created by the Groom’s late father, who was famous for his BBQ egg rolls. Craig also added his own flair to the wedding by hand crafting a lot of the wood pieces.
Some of our other favorite details were the braiding ceremony during the wedding, which they braided on a piece of wood from Jami’s grandfather’s barn; and the hand-written framed recipes at the reception. Since music is such an important part of their relationship (and because Nashville!), they chose a number of sentimental songs to play! First, as an ode to Craig’s life as an Ole Miss marching band member, the bridal party processional was to the University’s version of his favorite song, “Old Dixie”, and Jami and Craig walked out to “I saw the light” – another Ole Miss favorite! Jami surprised her dad with “You are my Sunshine” for their father-daughter dance (her dad always called her ‘sunshine’ after she was born on a stormy day).
This couple. They’re kind of my everything. Sweet, southern and lots of great taste!
