Sterling & Travis
July 18, 2020 at Wyndham Grand
Sterling and Travis didn’t let anything hold them back from tying the knot! I shot their engagement less than a year ago at Jetty Park. We never expected to be in this position today. A couple of weeks before their wedding their venue had to cancel due to COVID issues. Rescheduling was not an option they wanted to settle for. With the help from their planner, Nicole, they were able to find a venue with two weeks to spare! Talk about a quick detour! Sterling and Travis got married at the Wyndham Grand Resort in Orlando with all of their friends and family by their side.
An elementary school employee Christmas party turned out to be the most important night of Sterling and Travis’ lives. The two work at the same elementary school. The most interaction they had before this was when Sterling was dropping her class off for gym class with Travis. The school’s principal had a Christmas party which Sterling wasn’t planning on attending but her friends convinced her to go. Good thing she did because that is the night that her and Travis really hit it off. Sterlings advice for everyone is to always go to your work’s Christmas party!
As a couple, the two enjoy going to Disney and occasionally go there for dinner dates. When Travis asked if Sterling wanted to go to Disney and grab dinner there, she didn’t think anything of it. After a whole day of park hopping, they made their way to dinner. Sterling was expecting them to go to the Grand Floridian so when they passed it and headed to The Waldorf Astoria she started to get a little suspicious. That suspicion grew when they walked in and there were rose petals at the table. She even asked “is this a proposal”, but Travis assured her he just wanted to go out for a nice dinner. But of course this wasn’t just a nice dinner!! After dinner the waiter brought out dessert, it was a smoking silver box that contained an engagement ring. Talk about magical!!!

The theme of their wedding was “summer flower garden”. They incorporated different shades of pink for the floral and bridesmaid dresses. Sterling’s dress even had floral details on it! As a couple they are known for being very fun and upbeat, so they wanted the wedding to reflect that. Some of my favorite details include the pink neon sign reading “The Bryants” above the sweetheart table, and the signature cocktail named “Nate”, after their dog.
The ceremony took place outside and definitely gave off summer vibes. The aisle was lined with different pink flower petals, that led up to the circle arch adorned with flowers. Sterling and Travis did a sand ceremony at their wedding, where they each poured sand into a vase to symbolize the joining of their two lives. The reception was a huge party filled with upbeat music with a nostalgic twist. They also had a singer from Travis’ hometown in South Carolina attend and sing at the reception. The night ended with a a magical sparkler exit.
The two intended on honeymooning in Paris, France but COVID had some different plans for them. So they did a Florida Keys honeymoon instead where they celebrated together (while still social distancing) with beach cocktails, sun and sand!
