Samantha & Phillip

June 12, 2020 at their Private Residence

Is 2020 over yet? Let’s be real, this is a stressful time for everybody. But I have to say, with all the uncertainty, policy updates and reschedules, I couldn’t be more thankful for the unity from my brides and wedding industry professionals.

Samantha and Phillip were one of my first weddings post-COVID phase I. They decided to split their wedding in half and just have their closest friends and family join them for a sweet home-ceremony. We found a cute little spot at the entrance of their neighborhood for their vows. Everyone gathered in the shade as Samantha and Phillip became the Creglows. We also got to meet their sweet baby Kora! She was born at the very beginning of this coronavirus adventure. Next year we will get to do it all over again at Casa Feliz…but next time it won’t be a COVID wedding! Until then I will be reminiscing on my life BC – Before Corona.

The Creglows

A Tinder success story! Samantha and Phillip met on Tinder and on their first date realized they had pretty much everything in common. Samantha said she remembers thinking “wow, that was the easiest first date ever”, and they have been together ever since! When they got engaged it was on a Tuesday and completely caught Samantha by surprise. Phillip set up a card and gift bag on the dining room table of their apartment. The card said to text him after she read it. When she did, Phillip came in with their dog and told her to open the gift bag. Inside was an engagement ring! After screaming yes and crying, they had to run to CVS for some red nail polish so Samantha could send everyone pictures!

While looking through our pre-wedding questionnaires for Samantha and Phillip we came across their answer to “Do you have any children?”. At the time they only had their Spaniel named Sir Cooper and were going through their third round of fertility treatments. They were hoping and praying that they would have a miracle baby to complete their family. Lucky me – I got to meet this incredible miracle baby at their wedding!

Since they have a newborn and COVID is still a thing, Samantha and Phillip are planning on doing a one year anniversary honeymoon. They plan on traveling to Europe and visit Switzerland, the countryside of France and then to Barcelona.
