Allison and Matthew were looking for a venue that incorporates the look and feel of their favorite vacation spot, Italy. Eventually, during their search for the perfect wedding venue, they came across Bella Collina. The venue’s elegant, classy, yet preppy atmosphere instantly captivated the couple.
Important Details
Allison and Matthew chose their favorite color for their color scheme, light blue and white. The colors tied together perfectly—from the invitations to the bridesmaids’ dresses and the bride’s bouquet. At the reception, light blue and white hydrangeas, the bride’s favorite, decorated the tables with a fresh, elegant touch. The bride included a special detail for her grandmother on the train of her dress, three-dimensional gardenias, her favorite flowers.
Music
Allison and Matthew made it a priority to make sure their perfect day included everything they loved. Specifically, the music played throughout the event. The bride is a huge Taylor Swift fan. Therefore, they included many of her songs throughout the ceremony and cocktail hour. The couple even had their first dance to Lover by Taylor Swift. The groom played the violin and he included his passion towards orchestra by having a string quartet for the ceremony and cocktail hour.
Ceremony
With beautiful light and blue hydrangeas lining the ceremony space, Allison and Matthew enjoyed the Italian-inspired ceremony of their dreams. After the heartfelt vows, Allison and Matthew led their guests into cocktail hour, where the celebration kicked into full swing. Before heading off to take their first photos as newlyweds, the couple took a moment to share a drink with family and friends, soaking in the joy of the day.
Adding a playful and personal touch, they featured custom drink stirrers adorned with the cutest detail—an illustration of their beloved cat. This charming element not only reflected their personalities but also brought smiles to everyone’s faces, making the moment even more memorable.

Love
Similar to their wedding day, Allison and Matthew’s story is filled with happy unexpected twists and turns. When attending Florida College for undergrad, Matthew spotted Allison at the stands of a volleyball game. Like any good love story, it was truly love at first sight, but, rather than searching a kingdom for her, he did the next best thing – found her on social media. After finally working up the courage to message her, their conversations seemed to be nonstop and quickly after they began to date the semester after.
Allison and Matthew are a couple that is truly unpredictable – from traveling across the oceans, to intensively baking their famous apple pie, to competitively playing board games after work – they find an adventure doing anything if that means they can do it together. One of their most recent getaways was to Greece for their honeymoon where they took a sunset catamaran cruise in Santorini and tried the famous dessert, orange cake! Their love does not just end between them as they are huge animal lovers and try to spend their free time with their loved ones every moment they can.
The moment they began dating, Matthew and Allison were able to see each other for who they truly were. That depth didn’t stop at a surface-level admiration, but continued throughout every detail of their story, especially the proposal. Allison’s family-owned plant nursery, passed down from her grandpa, held a special place in her heart. So when it came to deciding where to propose, the choice was an easy decision for Matthew. With the help of family clearing out the space and friends hiding to capture the proposal on camera, this day truly unfolded into a scene from a fairytale.

Reception
Adding a signature flair, the couple’s favorite drink—the Aperol Spritz—was served at the bar. Other than just the wedding cake, the couple had their favorite dessert, gelato. During the reception, the bride had a outfit change into a short dress and sneakers. Her dress was made from her mothers wedding dress. At the end of the night, they played Love Story by Taylor Swift as the couple headed to their getaway car. Surrounded by their friends and family sending them off with dazzling sparklers in their hands, Allison and Matthew finished their perfect night and began their journey as newly weds.
