“They have ‘The Notebook’ kind of love.”
That was the line of Nicole’s toast that stuck out to me the most. Not having known Beth Miller and Terry Hockenberry for very long, I could tell from every second I spent with them that their love was passionate, emotional and deep. Nicole, Beth’s daughter and a close friend of mine, gave a beautiful speech, welcoming Terry in to their lives and thanking him for showing them the beautiful and joyous person their mother had become. It was such an honor to be a part of their wedding in Jacksonville last night and to witness the amazing support of their family and friends.
For this simple and quaint wedding, the room was so full of love – it was felt every second from a passing glance, soft touch and quiet embrace.
I can’t thank them enough for opening my eyes to the kind of love we all hope for in our lives. They are an amazing couple, with an amazing family, and I wish them long years of happiness and passion.

Her dress was so… her. It was a gorgeous Oleg Cassini.
Nicole did all the girls’ hair – they all looked amazing!
The shot on the bottom right is through the window of the dressing room taken by Reema. I grabbed the shot on the left.
Beth and Terry had a “First Look”, which is one of my favorite things to do!
Reema captured Beth’s reaction, while I had the privilege of seeing Terry’s first look at his beautiful bride.
Beth and Terry with Beth’s kids, Mat and Nicole Miller
LOVE this shot of her! She was an amazing bride!
Beth’s son, Mat, walked her down the aisle. He looked terrified until he got her to Terry. Then he just grinned. It was seriously so cute.
Terry can give a first kiss! All the other groom-to-be’s should take note :)
This is my favorite shot. After they walked out of the ceremony, Reema captured their embrace on the left
and I happened to catch the same one through the window on the right.
It’s just that moment that made my heart melt – and brought tears to my eyes tonight. The quiet moments – they’re the most profound.
Um, ok – so kind of a joke – but I adore Mat and Nicole, here with their significant others in an old school prom pose. Pilly (in pink) and Leon were great sports for this one :)
