I was completely tickled to see Jen and Dax’s gorgeous Knowles Chapel wedding featured on Style Me Pretty yesterday!

When MLS Soccer Star, Dax McCarty, met Jen – I don’t think he knew where their love story would take them. But after nearly a decade together and two super cute little puppy nuggets, these two have traveled the country together, traveled the world together, and are now traveling through life together! In true fashion to a professional athlete, just one day after their destination wedding here in Orlando, Dax was traded from captain of the New York Red Bulls to the newest player on Chicago Fire! They’ve settled in their new hometown nicely – loving all the things the city of Chicago has to offer (and I’m sure visiting lots of dog parks for Coji and Bali)!

I think what I loved the most about their wedding day was how absolutely laid back they both were! They spent the morning playing soccer and hanging out with their pups, even spending time together before they got ready! They both got dressed at the historic Park Plaza Hotel on Park Avenue in Winter Park, before doing a first look in the rose garden and then driving over to Knowles Chapel for their ceremony! Rollins is a special place for them since they first met on campus, so it was an easy decision to get married in their stunning chapel, surrounded by gardens and brick walkways.

I joined their friends and family for a sunset cocktail hour over at Interlachen Country Club before their reception, and then we were treated to an amazing night of entertainment by their band that they brought down from NYC!

I am so happy for Jen, Dax, Coji and Bali and hope they have an amazing time in their new home in Chicago! And if you’re in Orlando, be sure to go to the Orlando City/Chicago Fire game on June 4th! I’ll be out of town, so you guys have to go and cheer for me!
