Selina and Danny mixed the modern with the natural for their Persian wedding at the Atlantic Center of the Arts! Surrounded by nature, this black tie wedding merged traditional Persian wedding elements, amazing middle-eastern cuisine and a fantastic dance party for their guests! However, there wouldn’t have been a wedding without the story of how Danny and Selina first met!
In high school, Selina got a text during autobody class that said “wanna make out?” She didn’t know who the sender was, so like any smart high-school girl, she asked him to raise his hand! From that crazy text, they set off on a long relationship that ultimately led Danny to propose on “Top of the Rock” in NYC, their favorite city!
Romantic and sentimental definitely describes this dynamic duo – and their wedding day was no exception!
Cultural fusion for their Persian wedding
For their wedding day, Selina got ready at her family home while Danny and his groomsmen chose a cottage at the venue, deep in the forest! They shared an emotional first look, before Selina and Danny privately read each other their wedding vows that they wrote. Their ceremony took place in the amphitheatre and was a fusion of traditional Western nuptials followed by a cultural Persian ceremony. Guests were treated to cocktail hour before being escorted inside for the reception.
The reception was a modern collaboration of an existing art installation, gold details and contrasting black and white decor! We dined on traditional middle-eastern food while Selina and Danny had a private dinner back along the boardwalk in the forest. When they re-joined the party, they danced all night to a mix of music by DJ Chelsea! At the end of the evening, they left in a gorgeous new car that Danny had bought as his wedding gift to Selina! An after-party at her parents house kept guests celebrating late in to the night!
