Steve and Jenny had an elegant winter wedding in December, complete with some of my favorite little goodies – pink peonies, lots of candles, Christmas cookies and some serious wedding day fashion by the likes of Monique Lhullier, Lazaro and Vera Wang!
To know this amazing couple is to have instant friends. Since meeting them and hearing they had a bad experience with a previous photographer – I knew I had my work cut out for me! Challenge accepted. I adored their engagement session, their easy-going spirits and mostly, I loved how much they loved each other!
And with both of them standing over 6’0″ tall, I had models in the making!
Their reception at the Grand Bohemian was a mix of soft candlelight, and pink peonies. I loved the candelabras and how the candle wax slowly dripped through the night. I also loved their escort “cards”!
They put together coasters that you could put photos in, and they put a picture of each of their guests!
They were so cute, and such a sweet, personalized way to say thank you!
Oh and can we talk about the table of Christmas cookies?! Ok, so I’m from Youngstown, Ohio – where practically everyone (except me) is Italian. And for whatever reason, there’s this wedding tradition of having a cookie table. So it was just like being home – they even had buckeyes!! Truth be told, they stored the cookies in the side-room where they put us (the vendors) to eat. I may have taken 2 or 6 of the buckeyes and eaten them for dessert. They were sooooo good. :)
