We’re loving this winter wedding at Mission Inn Resort this December! We especially loved the burgundy floral and velvet bridesmaids gowns!
Alexis and Matt | Sneak Peek
December 27, 2019 at Mission Inn Resort
This holiday season was a busy one for us! Starting off a 3-day triple-header, Alexis and Matt were married at Mission Inn Resort on Friday, Dec. 27! They actually met as teenagers in high school one morning at “Meet at the Pole”. Alexis heard Matt giving that day’s message and decided to introduce herself on Facebook. They exchanged numbers and kept in constant contact! After years of dating, Matt proposed to Alexis on a family vacation to Juneau Alaska! They took a helicopter ride to a glacier and he proposed right on top of it! Now, they get to tailgate together, cheer on UCF and spend their days as husband and wife together!

Their wedding took place at the Plaza de La Fontana. The weather was threatening our perfect outdoor wedding – but we were super fortunate that we only had to dodge a few drizzles and overcast skies! The reception was initially planned for an outdoor tent at the Marina, but was moved indoors to the ballroom. After dinner, we still managed to head over to the Marina for dancing with the Matt Winter’s Band. They even had an entire section devoted to games, like Beer Pong, Croquet, Corn Hole and giant Jenga!
I absolutely loved the colors for their wedding. Pulling in the winter season, the bridesmaids wore burgundy velvet gowns and their bouquets were a stunning mix of wine and white colors! And we really love the bold colors against Alexis’ white ballgown!
The couple enjoyed honeymooning on a cruise to San Juan, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic, and St. Thomas! They left the day after the wedding and spent the New Year celebrating their new marriage together!
