An intimate Alfond Inn garden wedding encompassing all things beautiful and romantic for Taylor and Jake. The perfect combination of sophistication and classic style! With a typical day of Florida weather fluctuating between sunny and rainy, Taylor and Jake were troopers letting me take almost all of their portraits in the rain. When it came time for the ceremony a last minute rain-call made us move the lawn ceremony into the conservatory. All this to say, Taylor and Jake never swayed from having huge smiles on their faces.
A true garden wedding
Lisa Lyons Events and Fairbanks Florist really brought a true garden wedding atmosphere and included a beautiful walk down a carnation filled aisle. Following the ceremony, guests were escorted in to the Alfond Inn ballroom, where they were surprised to see the entire room draped and even included the ceiling! They created an outdoor tented feeling with all the luxuries of an indoor event. Escaping heat and rain, it was the perfect atmosphere for guests! What else could you need to bring a garden wedding indoors? The sweetheart table was flanked with bamboo and wicker furniture, palms and a custom dance-floor!
Jake and Taylor had their romantic garden wedding in October and have managed to hold out on a honeymoon due to COVID and work schedules. But, that is all going to change in March! They said they will either be heading to Hawaii or Bora Bora. They have always wanted to do a romantic getaway in one of those huts over the water!
