I remember the very moment I fell in love with Elaine and Kaleb. It was after about our second hour at Chick-Fil-A during their first consultation. I wasn’t sure which one of them I loved more – they were both so full of energy and their smiles were beyond contagious. If I knew nothing else at that moment, I knew they were absolutely perfect for each other. They matched, like a ying to a yang. They booked me with over 2 years to go until their wedding… and so began our email affair.

It wasn’t until their engagement session that I knew, without a doubt, how much I would enjoy working with them. Elaine showed up with a wumbo-sized sweet tea (which I later tripped over and spilled for some happy ants in the woods) and had the brilliant idea of shooting in a vintage record store! Both intense lovers of music, Elaine and Kaleb met and bonded over their passion of God, music and family. They sucked me in… as I’m sure their closest friends can sympathize with!

I have so much more to say about this gorgeous couple, so I’ll make little notes in the blog for you to enjoy :)

Meanwhile, to Kaleb and Elaine, thank you so much for putting so much trust in me. For surviving the coldest day in Florida with me, for celebrating your love with me. We had the most amazing time and I absolutely cannot wait to see you both again!

Thanks to Leah Langley for assisting Leah and I on their wedding!

I loved Elaine’s bouquet! Actually, the whole color scheme was really beautiful. Soft ivory, blush and champagnes accented with a bold teal.

Elaine’s veil was a gift from the groom’s mother. I love the delicate detail and how perfectly it fell over the back of her dress.

So true story. Elaine had not kissed Kaleb…. at all kiss….. nothing….. since their engagement session with me nearly 10 months earlier. I thought she would just about jump out of her skin when she finally got to kiss him during the ceremony. I’ve truly never seen anyone so happy in my life!

With sun setting over the lake on this super cold day in Feb, we got the most beautiful light for a few last portraits

Very much in love with the reception table design. The colors, linens and centerpieces were just gorgeous!

The perfect amount of teal room lighting added the most gorgeous atmosphere right before the guests came in!

Best garter toss that I’ve ever seen.
