Kelsey and Dan | Sneak Peek

I didn’t meet Dan and Kelsey until I showed up for their wedding at Bella Collina. It’s a bit unorthodox for me, but when I arrived, Kelsey gave me the warmest hug and I knew we were going to have a fantastic day together! The rain had stopped, the sun was poking through some clouds and Bella Collina was like a beehive of vendors getting everything prepared for their lawn ceremony and ballroom reception! But let’s back up just a bit so I can “formally” introduce you to Kelsey and Dan!
They originally met when Kelsey’s job sent from her home in NC to work with a client here in Florida. When she arrived, she met Dan on her first day. Weeks of spending time together at work and the local billiard hall (yes, that’s what she said), Dan decided to make her trip back to NC a bit more adventurous – they made a few stops in Savannah and Charleston! After a month together, they continued their relationship long-distance until Dan planned Kelsey’s dream vacation to Bali. Over 3 weeks this past summer, they enjoyed some relaxing, some cocktails and some incredible new adventures. They’d return to the States as fiances and the wedding planning began!

Kelsey and Dan were joined on their wedding day by their “child”, Oliver! Ollie is the light of their lives, and one of my favorite series of photos is when he was casually sniffing everything down the aisle, to the exact moment when he saw his daddy standing at the end (I couldn’t resist adding that photo to the blog, so it’s below!). Ollie is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd mix and he got to wear a little blue and white seersucker and floral collar!
The lawn was prepared for their ceremony to begin with seating for about 175 guests, when a not-on-the-radar-anywhere rain storm popped up (oh, Florida rainy season….). Within seconds, the entire lawn was tarped by the vendor teams so everything could stay dry! The storm passed quickly and the ceremony started with only an 8 minute delay! It’s always so impressive seeing the teams work together to keep everything on track!
On Monday, Kelsey and Dan jetted off to their honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – where I know they’ll be enjoying some wine, some sun and so many more adventures!
