I have known Kristen since she was a freshman in high school. I actually worked with her mom back in my post-college days working for the New York Times!

We bonded over our super awesome names (Kristen Elizabeth Weaver and Kristen Elizabeth Wheary) and both actually started working together part-time at a little shopping boutique.

After I met Anthony and moved out to Orlando, Kristen and I lost touch – but I’ll never forget our days shooting ads for the boutique and all the fun times we had talking about colleges, sororities and boys.

I was really excited when she connected with me on Facebook and told me about her engagement to her boyfriend, Jared!

When we started planning her engagement session, I knew the location would need to be important and meaningful to both of them – so it seemed like the perfect place to shoot at his parent’s ranch out in Lakeland. Honestly, for me, it was a highlight to work with Charla, their donkey! I can honestly say I’ve never shot an engagement session with a donkey before, but Charla was a good sport for us!
