Oxford, CT Wedding
June 30, 2012ย |ย Megan and Tim
I can’t think of a better way to be greeted to a new city by a bride and groom than with a bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries in our hotel room!
Anthony and I had an amazing time shooting Megan and Tim’s gorgeous Connecticut wedding – and I’m not even sure how to accurately describe the reception. I mean, half of the men (young, old and everything in between) had stripped down to their suspenders before the main course was even served! And the hospitality of their families were so awesome. I had about 3 random guests compliment my hair, got the cutest place-card (it said “The Dream Team: Kristen and Anthony”) and about a 5 course meal, ending with the most delish Lobster – that 3 of my table-buddies had to explain to me how to eat. It was a WHOLE lobster! I might move to New England for that reason alone!
I also think Tim and Anthony would have the most perfect bromance, as long as Megan and I were there to keep things under control. Besides our mutual love for Disney, it seems like Tim gets the same “looks” from Megan that Anthony is oh-so-familiar with here at home.
:)
So About The Wedding!
It was a classic New England affair with touches of white, soft ivory and lace. Hints of a bold purple accented their decor and bridesmaid fashion, and a variety of lush white flowers finished off the day.
I loved the simple black on white for the men, and just the right amount of pearl on the girls. Megan’s Anne Barge gown, from Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC, was finished off with a taupe sash and diamond brooch.
Their formals were finished up at a beautiful barn on a family friend’s property, that backed up to a beautiful field of wild flowers! Adding just the right amount of rustic to this modern romance :)

We started at Tim and Megan’s house, where the guys were getting ready
Their backyard smells like Nachos
Not a bad looking group of guys, eh?
After a not-quite 5 minute drive to Megan’s parent’s house, we met up with the girls!
This next shot is one of my favorites, and graced the cover of Anne Barge’s Real Brides section on her website shortly after Megan’s wedding!
Their church was perfect. It was sweetly simple.
The guests got together for a slideshow history of Megan and Tim’s relationship!
Before the main course was even served, half the men were practically naked….Shirts were on, shirts were off…
I couldn’t keep track!
