Jacki and Schaffer are getting married! Photographing their St. Augustine engagement session reminded me of why I love photography and connecting with my couples.
They are the sweetest people and were so willing to do any prompts/poses I threw their way! They even told me they were watching TikToks on how to pose! Schaffer is a St. Augustine native but he and Jacki first met while attending UF – hence the Gator socks. I haven’t been to St. Augustine since my elementary school field trip so when they recommended riding together I was all for it.
Their session was on a Friday evening and it was beyond packed! When I got to their house I was greeted by their cute fluff, Snoopy! He wasn’t allowed to come to the photoshoot with us but I was still able to get a few pets!
Jacki and Schaffer love to go on bike rides. So, I thought it would be cute to incorporate that into their session! We were about to hop in the truck when they both asked me, not knowing the other already asked, if I wanted to sit up front with them. Their middle console flips up into a third seat and apparently the back seat was Snoopy’s seat! I told them I was fine sharing the back seat if Snoopy is okay with that! We started by trying to find parking…
Once we found that one lucky spot we explored by foot before heading to the beach to pop some champagne! I felt like we connected very well and I can’t wait to celebrate with them at the Treasury on the Plaza!
