Southern Winter Wedding at Bella Collina
January 10, 2016 // Madeleine and John are my super sweet southern couple! The pair met while in Atlanta at a work conference. John loved to cook, and Madeleine soon found out that shrimp and grits were his favorite food. This also happened to be Maeleine’s favorite food, so of course ate it together and the rest is history! Food continued to play a huge role in their relationship, all the way to their proposal. Every Friday night for about a year the couple had eaten Chinese food. John saved every fortune they had opened and saved all of them. While at Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia the couple decided to take a walk John decided to get on one knee and pop the question. As adorable as this proposal was, it was actually plan B! John had originally had custom-made fortune cookies that said, “Will you marry me?” but the postal service was delayed!
Madeleine’s modern, yet timeless Judd Waddell gown looked perfect against the Tuscan backdrop of this Bella Collina. I loved the elegant and classic white floral and greenery details throughout the reception. All of Madeleine’s bridesmaids wore white and it was absolute perfection. One aspect of the day that Madeleine was extremely excited about was the baby grand piano and pianist for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Madeleine is a classical pianist so this was incredibly special for her. The couple also had a watercolor artist hand paint all of their invitations, as well as the table numbers and menus.
