Where do I start? Guys, this Gasparilla Inn wedding was a dream! Everything from the girly details, personalized escort “cards”, and the bride and groom themselves. Whitney was the lead shooter but oddly enough I was vacationing with my fiancès family fifteen minutes down the road from Gasparilla Inn! Although we didn’t get to meet Brittany and Brad prior to their big day, the girls welcomed us with open arms, and Whitney and I instantly felt like we were part of the crew.
Typically, we start the day with details and candids. This gorgeous blue printed layflat we got while at Hybrid Co. fit seamlessly with the bridesmaid’s attire. Brittany included their room key to add a special touch to their detail photos. Aside from the tangible details, the undeniable bond between Brittany and her grandparents held significant importance in their day.
She decided to do a first look with the two men who held her heart, Brad and her grandfather. Getting to capture these interactions is what makes wedding days so special to us as photographers.
After we gathered ourselves from the sweet first-look moments, we took the whole crew outside for some group photos! The girls were stylish in their mixed-match dresses while the guys looked fresh in their beige suits! If you reside in Florida, you know how hot it has been. Thankfully, they had a beautiful tented ceremony and reception to shield guests from the heat. They kept their ceremony intimate with one of their close friends officiating the wedding. After the ceremony guests, in their fashion-forward fits, grabbed their oyster escort “card” that was handwritten by Brittany’s grandfather. Brittany surprised her guests, and specifically her grandmother, by coming out in a white pencil dress with sleeves from her grandmother’s wedding dress!
It was such a special moment and a perfect way to incorporate a second dress. The rest of the night was full of energy, laughter, and making memories!
