There’s this really sweet moment when you walk in to a wedding for the first time and see your bride and her girls, in their cute little robes, just bubbling with excitement and nerves and giggles… and when I walked in to the locker room at Bella Collina for Madeline and Westin’s wedding, I was instantly met with all of those things! Everyone was so excited for Madeline, who met Wes at their freshman year at UF while away for a Bible Retreat. Morning campfires chatting about life led way to a fantastic friendship, which quickly blossomed in to the relationship that led them down the aisle!
Westin proposed to Madeline at sunset on Indian Rocks beach after he serenaded her (so glad to hear romantic men still exist in the world!) and they started planning their wedding day – starting with the beautiful Tuscan backdrop at Bella Collina in Montverde, Fl. They mixed citrus and corals with lots of woodsy details, but my favorite decor ‘moment’ was their lawn ceremony that sat their nearly 300 guests on wooden pews, accented by rustic wood boxes of succulents, ย white roses and hydrangea. Their reception decor included farm tables and chairs, orange, coral and bright pink uplighting with candelabra centerpieces of floral and citrus.
Their love for Jesus was highlighted in so many special ways! Westin’s wedding band was engraved with “Three Cords Strong” and they had a moment together (no peeking!) where they read a Bible verse to each other immediately before the ceremony.
I’ve come to love these families and am so excited for all the amazing things Westin and Madeline will enjoy in their marriage!
