The interns at Kristen Weaver Photography this year (the “Shooting Stars”) have been hard at work on a styled shoot, and it’s finally here! Classic meets modern fairytale in this airy, bright wedding inspiration shoot with some special details. My partner Esther and I come from different but very similar creative backgrounds. Esther is a model who has shot for various brands and recently signed with Wilhelmina Models! While I, Elizabeth, am film school graduate with a love for the artistic side of everything onscreen (thus, photography!) We combined our different experiences to create the vision of a timeless fairytale moment, and our theme has evolved from there. We knew from the beginning that we wanted our colors to be hues of pink, white, and green. That vision came to life through the amazing creations of all our vendors!
Venue & Rentals
We started with the search for a venue and quickly chose Cypress Grove Estate House for its lush yard and lakeside views! The gorgeous grounds at Cypress Grove were perfect for the outdoor setting we envisioned. RW Rentals provided the perfect reception and lounge setups to complete the look! We used a rustic, light wood table and a stunning selection of white lounge furniture with pink and light blue accents. The plates for the reception set up came right from KWP Master’s very own, Gabby!
Dress & Accessories
The dress was so important to our vision. So, we reached out to The Bridal Finery and they pulled some gorgeous options for us that gave all the whimsical feels we were going for! We chose the “Mad About You” gown from Ines Di Santo for our main look. The lace details brought our ideal fairy-tail look to life! We also snapped a few photos with a stunning sparkly, tulle-sleeved Berta dress for a fun editorial moment! We accessorized with a stunning Maria Elena diamond crown and earrings, also from The Bridal Finery.
Desserts
When choosing a cake we knew we wanted to incorporate some sort of fruit because…why not! Our cake and desserts came from Le Petit Sweet! They created a lovely naked-style cake with apple decor and apple-shaped macarons that absolutely stole the show. The apple decor also inspired the name for our styled shoot: Honeycrisp! At the end of the shoot we got to try the cake and the macarons and they were absolutely delicious! We even got to do the traditional “first cut” on the cake!
Florals
For the flowers we wanted to go for a whimsical, elegant, and fresh set up. Bluegrass Chic provided a stunning selection of florals, including a bouquet for our bride, tabletop vases for the reception setup, and loose florals for styling the cake and stationery.
Stationery
Esther and I were thrilled with the stationery from Two Peas Paper Co. Paige’s designs featured our colors of pink, white, and green and even displayed the venue! The stationary was beautifully handwritten by Paige and had stunning envelopes and flower designs to go with it. We even included the apple macaroons! It really fit our vision perfectly.
Model & Beauty
Kristen has a close connection with a local modeling agency in Orlando so when we started looking for a models she directed us to our gorgeous model, Jennifer! She has modeled for Kristen before so we were confident she would be the perfect choice for our bride! We had Jasmines team at Jazz it Up Artistry do her hair and makeup! Jasmine was origingally going to do it herself but she had just given birth to her third child so she was a little busy being a new mom again! We wanted Jen to have a timeless updo and a light, natural makeup look to match the vibes of our shoot. The clean, elegant updo was perfect for the headpiece and her makeup really made her beautiful blue eyes pop.
We can’t thank your amazing vendors enough! Everything came together beautifully and this has been such a great experience for both of us!
