You understand the header if you watch the highly sought-after Netflix series, Bridgerton. It’s the only way to properly start this love story. So, without further ado, let’s begin! Telina had a very particular vision when it came to her wedding day. A whimsical, garden-party, romantic editorial is how she described it. With lush colors and fresh fruits scattered throughout the design, Christy from Anna Christine Events pulled everything together beautifully.
Details
Telina incorporated colors we don’t see too often, like cornflower, and subtle hints of light blue and pink! She and Dennis are avid plant lovers so it was only right to have luscious blooms at their wedding. One thing we absolutely loved was their attention to detail. The vendors understood the assignment completely and did an amazing job bringing her vision to life. And can we talk about Telina’s stunning Oscar De La Renta earrings? Wow! Before meeting Telina in person we heard about how gorgeous her dress was. Tali, one of our good friends from The Bridal Finery, helped Telina pick out her Ines Di Santo gown. After getting to know Telina, I realized she loves the subtle extravagant and she can pull off anything! This particular dress was one we typically don’t see and we love that! It was strapless with a gorgeous flower-inspired design near the bottom of the gown. The color was nontraditional as well with a slight hue of pink adding to that whimsical romantic vibe!
Their Story
The world of social media has flourished in the past decade. More and more couples will meet virtually whether it be via Instagram, dating apps, or other social platforms. Dennis and Telina initially met through Bumble, a dating app where kindness is sexy. That’s what Bumble.com says at least! After meeting up and bonding over plants and their love for helping people, they realized they lived within a two-mile radius of each other but somehow never crossed paths. Dennis was completing his final year of medical residency while Telina was working locally in Orlando as a CVICU nurse!
Love
Soon after graduating, Dennis accepted his first job as a physician in good ole Mississippi. But that wasn’t the end of this spontaneous loveship. Their relationship continued only this time it was long-distance! Dennis knew he didn’t want to lose Telina so after another year and a half of dating Dennis proposed!
Telina being the altruistic person she is wanted her girls to stand out with her! She gave them the freedom to choose their own dress which showed their individual personalities. Her maid of honor chose a pink tea-length dress with florals that mimicked the flower on Telina’s dress. They kept her crew small and only had their maid of honor and best man stand at the altar with them while their honorary wedding party sat amongst family and friends.
Telina was accompanied by her mother as she walked down the aisle. They had a sentimental ceremony exchanging personal vows expressing their love for one another. Once the vows were exchanged and they were pronounced husband and wife, the two had a ceremonial exit as guests tossed a variety of flower petals to insinuate best wishes to the newlyweds!
