The Staffa Family

We have come to our last (but certainly not least) family spotlight – the Staffa family! They recently had their six-year wedding anniversary. I first met them for their engagement at Blue Springs State Park. They are very much into nature and love to be adventurous together. Irene is Malaysian and Australian – and yes she has one of those cool Australian accents! She met Anthony on one of her trips to Orlando. After finding their love for the outdoors was mutual, they knew they just “worked”. They’re the only couple I can say have really done it all. From hiking volcanoes in Hawaii, biking through Spain, catching the waves in Bali, oh yeah and swimming the Great Barrier Reef – no big deal! But when you’ve done it all… where do you propose? Leu Gardens Wedding
Irene and Anthony had a simple travel themed wedding at Leu Gardens. Every element was a piece of who they are. So, instead of having colored sand for their sand ceremony they each brought sand from their home country. Irene brought Australian sand while Anthony brought US sand. Everyone was loving that idea! And then we found out that US sand is too humid and doesn’t pour out as well as Australian sand.

A Blended Family
When Lucas was born, both families joined the couple in Orlando to help them raise their son! We got together for a photo shoot at Leu Gardens to celebrate these 2 families – from across the world – who came together!
At Home with the Staffas
We loved this shoot with Lucas at their home! We spent some time outside, in Irene’s craft room and cozied up in their family room!
Lucas Growing Big and Tall
Keira (their dog) was happy to join us for the Staffas downtown family session! She’s the sweetest, most well behaved dog there is. Now that Kiera has a little human brother, they can be partners in crime! I love seeing how much Lucas’ personality grows each time I photograph their family.
