Sandals Wedding in Jamaica
March 29, 2011ย |ย Bridget and Greg
Not in my wildest dreams would I imagine that I would have a job that would allow me to travel to Jamaica twice in 6 months time. I was over the moon when my first Jamaica bride (Rachel) contacted me about her October wedding – so when Bridget’s email showed up in my inbox, I was already antsy for the hot sun, cool ocean breeze and amazing new friends I’d soon be meeting!
Much like my previous trip, Bridget’s family welcomed me with open arms in to their little “inner circle”. Since then, I’ve loved keeping up with them through Facebook and hearing about all the great stories from their trip to Bridget and Greg’s wedding!
Sandals Whitehouse was the destination of choice, and I was stunned at the amazing venue! Gorgeous brightly colored buildings, beautiful amenities and great food – it was pretty much a workacation in heaven!
In perfect timing with my recent post on groom’s fashion over at the Every Last Detail Blog, Greg’s custom pure Cashmere suit was made by Oxxford Clothes, and he wore Zelli Italian leather shoes!
Alyssa joined me – and although we fell asleep at the pool for 2 hours on our first day there (yes, hello massive sunburn) – we had the best time relaxing, working and getting to know our new friends! It’s definitely touching when a family that you’ve never met invites you everywhere with them! So from snorkeling (well, almost), to the pool, to meals and even a (really bad) talent show – we happily tagged along!
So to Bridget, Greg and their entire family – thank you so much for having us at your wedding! We were thrilled to be there, and even happier to have met such great new friends!

After a few quick shots of Bridget and Greg, we joined the rest of the guests at the beach-side reception!
A few rain clouds rolled in, so we took a little break so everyone could head back to the room to drink… I mean, relax….
and then we met back up for some more pictures!
These little guys were all over the place!
Bridget’s brother totally nailed their little screaming sound, too!
When the rain clouds passed, we were left with the most amazing golden sunset. Seriously, this side of the island is amazing!
When we got back to the room, this is what we walked in to. I tried to match it up with another picture… but seriously… what would I pair it with?!
The best part of the day (for me) was convincing an entire wedding guest-list to run in to the ocean! They obliged :)
