Nautical Navy & Gold Destination Wedding

You may remember my bride Melissa. She has been part of the KWP family for years and has become such a close friend! So when she reached out to ask me to shoot her second wedding to her fiance, Joe, I was super excited! I think she actually asked if she could “be your first repeat bride”! Stigma aside, I wouldn’t have traded anything to join her and their families in beautiful Bimini, Bahamas for their intimate wedding weekend! Since Anthony and I spent time with Melissa in both Miami and Hawaii, I knew we’d have an amazing time. The hotel was gorgeous, and we frequently hung out at their beach-house on the water – we were always treated like part of their big Cuban family! There is always food and drinks and laughter. I used to joke that they could just adopt us ;)

When Joe proposed to Melissa, he shared a note from him and his son asking her “Will you marry us?” and their perfectly blended family was created! This wedding was so special because it was the joining of their families – they shared beautiful gold monogrammed necklaces with both of their children, committing themselves to a family as 4 from that moment on.

Their colors were nautical and classic – with lots of navy and gold! The bridesmaids were tasked with selecting their own gowns and they shared an intimate dinner on the beach of lobster and steak, and finished it with a 6-tier wedding cake that was delivered from Miami!
