Rachel and Nik | Sneak Peek

Last weekend, Whitney and I traveled south for Rachel and Nik’s tropical Islamorada wedding! At some of the most beautiful spots in the Florida Keys, our amazing couple married each other in front of all of their closest friends and family!
Rachel and Nik met while volunteering for their town of Stuart, Fl. Rachel’s company was producing marketing for some events for their downtown district when they met. But it wasn’t until a mutual friend invited them both out together that they really connected! Nik and Rachel are the perfect mix between out-about-town and adventurous! They love boating, fishing, the sandbar and anything on the water.
Islamorada
Selecting Islamorada for their wedding was the most perfect choice for this seaside couple! They stayed in a beautiful house at Moorings Village where Rachel got ready with her bridesmaids. Initially, when we arrived it was absolutely pouring! But the rain cleared up quickly and made way for a beautiful day; slightly overcast, with a calm breeze. Their ceremony was right on the water at Pierre’s and their altar was a beautiful floral arch! We moved back to The Moorings for their portraits, while guests were escorted by bus to the famous Bud N Mary’s Marina!
Since Nik is co-owner of Islamorada Beer Co., guests were treated to their favorite drinks from the brewery!
Cocktail hour was sea-side with a Tarpon feeding station, drinks and a stunning sunset only Islamorada could deliver! The reception actually took place inside a large open-air building on the water of the marina. The space was completely transformed with lots of stunning hanging floral chandeliers over the tables and dance floor. The open-air concept gave us a stunning backdrop of the water and a soft breeze through the evening.
I have loved getting to know Rachel and Nik and it was an incredible journey getting to spend their Islamorada wedding weekend with them!
