St. Petersburg Wedding at the Vinoy

Ashley and Marc have one of the cutest “when we met” stories I’ve ever heard! Marc, whoย was a freshman at a brand new school, signed up for Latin class – not knowing that it was for 7th and 8th graders. Cue Ashley, who was sitting at the back of the class, wondering why a high schooler was taking a middle school class. After a reasonable amount of teasing him (with the help of her friends) she made special notice of his blushing ears. You could say it was puppy love – but you’d be wrong.
Fast forward many, many years – missed connections, bad timing and soul searching, and they found each other again when Ashley needed an escort to the Debutante ball. Marc was a senior at Yale at the time, and may or may not have ditched his current girlfriend to hang out with Ashley while ballroom dancing and wearing a snazzy tux.
Marc proposed on their anniversary – December 30th. After a surprise engagement party, Ashley and Marc began their wedding planning journey! They chose an Interfaith wedding, combining elements of the Jewish and Christian cultures. Their St. Petersburg wedding reception had a travel theme with the tables being named for places they’ve traveled. Their head table was named “Hawaii”, which was the first place they would travel as newlyweds!
