Ashley and Justin’s “meeting” story is probably one of my favorites from all of my couples! Even though they went to the same college, in the same city, and often sitting in the same class… they didn’t actually meet until a study abroad program took them all the way to China and Japan. Although they spent a lot of time together on the trip, it wasn’t until March 11, 2011 when they really bonded. On that day, their group was in China when they experienced the Tลhoku earthquake and tsunami. When they returned to the states, they started dating “officially” and sealed the deal with a sunset proposal 2 years later!
Their wedding was celebrated by their family and friends at Estate on the Halifax in Daytona. Together, they said their vows with daughter Addy (who also did a super special reading during the ceremony for them!) and danced the night away to Phase5 Band who came over from the west coast (of Florida :))
Ashley’s style was the perfect fit for the girls at An Affair to Remember, who designed and planned their stunning event! Ashley wore an open-back Monique Lhuillier gown with an attached tulle train and her bridesmaids wore coral Nicole Miller bridesmaids gowns. The bouquets were stunning with bright pops of coral, pink, salmon and orange! And Addy’s Flower Girl gown was a heart-back dress with mixed buttons and an attached large tulle cupcake skirt.
I love celebrating weddings with this family – and we were thrilled to be included in another Perryman sister’s big day on Saturday, July 5th, when Stevie, the youngest of the 3 girls, wed her fiance, Dodger! Krista was on hand to capture their amazing day and I can’t wait to share those images, too!

Ok, so remember Justin’s gift from Ashley that he totally missed? Well, it wasn’t just a cute pack of golf balls – but tickets to the Masters! After we talked for a bit during their formals, the gift came up and he couldn’t figure out what we were talking about. Below is his reaction to us telling him he totally missed the biggest part of his present!
