There’s something pretty special about Michelle and Matt…. and I’m absolutely certain that all of their family would agree with me on that. Even though neither of them have a Facebook, I have some pretty avid fans who I was fortunate enough to have refer me to Michelle when she started looking for her wedding photographer last year.
Michelle met Matt through her friend, Matt’s sister, (also named) Michelle!
If you’re still following, let me tell you a little bit more :)
Matt came down to Miami for a baseball game when Michelle (his sister) introduced him to her friend, Michelle.
Sidenote: Matt played baseball professionally for 6 years – and a quick Google-stalk shows me that he was drafted in 1999 by the Oakland Athletics, and he throws with his right hand. All useful information, I’m sure :)
As the story goes, Matt and Michelle were inseparable from that first meeting about 8 years ago.
Even though Michelle and Matt had a quaint wedding at one of my favorite Orlando venues, Casa Feliz, the love in the room was electric. After an on-and-off again rainy day, the ceremony got moved indoors where they were surrounded by personal framed photos, low beam ceilings, wood in the fireplace and the low roll of quiet thunder outside. It was absolutely perfect… romantic and cozy. And right on cue, the weather broke to give us a quick 20 minutes outside before nightfall for formal photos.
I know you’ll fall in love with them about as much as I have!
Venue: Casa Feliz, Winter Park
Bridal Gown: David’s Bridal
Hair and Makeup: LeJeune Artistry
Florist: Greenery Productions, Inc.
Cake Artist: Rachel Peacock
DJ: National Entertainment Group
Harpist: Christine MacPhail
Officiant: George Sanders
I loved Michelle’s reaction when the flowers arrived!
The best part about Michelle’s dress was that she could easily change when she was waiting for the ceremony to start.
And since she needed to make the final call on the rain, I got some really cute photos of her watching the weather…
Michelle and Matt were super laid back and didn’t bat an eye about moving the ceremony inside.
I love. love. love. this next shot!
Ladies, THIS is how you catch the bouquet…
