Traveling from Southeastern Europe to the snowy hills of Colorado, friends and family joined Vladimir and Amanda in sunny Orlando for their European inspired wedding at Bella Collina! With traditional Serbian dances to a heartfelt song from Amanda’s father, guests were treated to an incredible night celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Jovic!
Tuscan and Serbian Bella Collina Wedding
September 9, 2018 | Amanda & Vlad
You could say that Amanda and Vladimir’s initial meeting was a fate written in the stars. My introduction to them seemed like a long time coming in itself! I know Vlad’s sister, Anita, first as a client but now as a dear friend – so I feel like I knew Amanda and Vlad before even speaking to them! I am truly honored to share this incredible day with them and all their families!
The Proposal
Vlad told Amanda to get ready for a night out. He created a little โstoryโ about how there was an event in the Denver clock tower at sunset where you could bring your own bottle of wine. She fell for it because she was thinking that it was very โDenverโ to host a pop-up like this. Props to Vlad for being so convincing! He even hired a photographer that pretended to be their elevator man and brought them to the top. Vlad made sure there were rose petals scattered on the floor and had a table with treats and champagne set up when they arrived.
Amanda: โI remember thinking, โAw how cute, I wonder who this is for,โ thinking we just stumbled into someone elseโs surprise and we should sneak out before they arrive.โ He grabbed her arms, got down on one knee and here we are! They watched the clock interior change colors at sunset with champagne in hand. Then he brought her up to the top of the tower where dinner was waiting on them. She calls it the best night of her life and didnโt want it to end.
The Wedding Day
Amanda and Vlad chose to move their wedding to Florida, instead of Denver as they first planned, so more people who are special to them would be able to attend. From Serbian relatives flying in from thousands of miles away to the brideโs musician father playing a tune on his guitar, the night was a testament to the value these two have on family and the captivating love they share with each other. The bride and groom each had four by their side. Amanda allowed her girls to wear four different gowns ranging in shades of gray which kept with the neutral tones of the wedding while still giving their looks some personality. The table settings they chose were simple, yet so charming with bread and olive oil waiting for the guests, a sprig of lavender tucked into each napkin, and gold votives twinkling around the greenery.
Following their wedding, the couple jetted away to beautiful Santorini in Greece, where they relaxed and took lots of photos of cats for Amanda’s instagram! Oia is one of my absolute favorite cities in the world, and they loved it just as much as I did! I highly recommend it as a honeymoon destination!
