I’m not really sure how to begin to write a post about the wedding of one of my best friends from college. I mean, how do you summarize years of laughter, tears, boyfriends and frozen dinners in just a simple blog post?  So I guess I could do it in true “Jessica” form – simple, sweet and to the point.

Meeting Jessica back in my Kappa Delta days at Florida Southern College, I don’t think I realized how close we would become. And when I introduced her to Tim (the tag-a-long freshman who had a crush on my best friend), I don’t think I realized that I would be photographing their wedding 7 years later.

But in all reality, things never really work out the way we think… and for that, I’m undoubtedly grateful.

Jessica’s nautical wedding on Boca Grande island was simple and beautiful – focusing their attention on the love of friends and family: the big things that make often get the smallest credit. And although I’m afraid I could never capture the multitude of emotions and love that was felt that day, I did my best to show off Jessica and Tim’s wedding exactly as I imagined it always would be.

To my dear Jkyle, thank you for letting be there with you on such a special day :) I can’t wait to see your new lives grow, your family grow and your hearts grow for each other.

Jessica’s dad, Marty, walked her down to the ceremony and made the trellis they got married under!

Jessica and Tim’s friends and family did everything for the reception – from the cake, to the food, the place cards and centerpieces.

Oh, and Jessica can make a mean Sangria!
