A Disney turned Alfond Inn wedding was nothing short of perfect for Anna and Jess. In the weeks approaching their wedding they decided to switch venues! Thanks to their amazing new vendor team they were able to make it happen, and pulled off the sweetest intimate wedding with 18 of their closest friends and family.
Anna and Jess | Sneak Peek
August 3, 2020 at The Alfond Inn, Winter Park
Anna and Jess met freshman year of college at West Virginia University. Anna and her friend were going to grab dinner with a guy they met, and he happened to invite Jess to join. According to Anna, Jess didn’t say much at dinner but she just knew they would be best friends. Fast forward nearly eight years and they are getting married!
The engagement was sweet and simple, which seems to be a trend with these two. Jess and Anna were on their way to meet her sister for bowling, and Anna was already frustrated because they were running late. But, Jess insisted that he needed to stop at his apartment to pay rent.
When they arrived to his apartment complex he parked the car and came clean that he was lying about the rent. That’s when he whipped out a ring and asked Anna to marry him. Of course she said yes!! I guess it’s okay that they were running late this one time.
An Intimate Wedding
Their wedding was full of pops of color from the yellow and dusty rose bridesmaid dresses, to the flowers. A venue switch also meant a tiny overhaul of their theme – going from peachy corals to jewel tones of marigold, emerald, sapphire and rose! They may not have been able to get married at Disney, but the Alfond Inn’s ballroom was just as magical for their intimate wedding ceremony. The iridescent globes hanging from the ceiling add the perfect touch of magic. And their pianist played beautiful Disney songs during the ceremony (I was especially moved during the ring-warming ceremony when he played the song from Up!) One of my favorite moments of the night had to be the “multimedia” speech from maid of honor (Anna’s sister), Shannon. It was what could only be described as a hysterical tearjerker.
After their intimate wedding at Alfond Inn, the two have plans to honeymoon at their favorite place in the world, Disney.
