Casa Feliz Wedding

Renee and Ray traveled from their home in Washington D.C. for their intimate destination Casa Feliz wedding in Orlando! Renee admits to stalking Ray on Myspace for a bit before finally getting the courage to message him. After meeting over 12 years ago on their first dinner date, this amazing couple has been building their lives together around the country. Their wedding was the joining together of friends they have made in every city, some they haven’t seen in years, in Winter Park, Florida.
An Italian Proposal
After allowing Renee to plan their entire trip to Italy, Ray asked to plan one thing – a gondola ride their first night in Venice. After traveling from NYC all day, they finally arrived in Venice. Ray was running a tight ship to make sure they made it to their gondola reservation – although Renee couldn’t quite figure out what the big deal was if they missed it.
Renee tells it best, “We planned a vacation to Italy. ย He told me that I could plan everything, except he wanted to go on a gondola ride in Venice on our first evening. ย Iย didn’t find this odd at all because, well, that’s what you are supposed to do in Venice. ย After a long day of traveling from NYC to Milan, catching a train to Venice, finding our way to the Marriott that was on a separate island …in the rain, rushing to change clothes, and taking a boat back to the mainland, we finally arrived at the gondola. ย I remember making the comment of “What’s the worst that can happen if we miss the gondola ride? ย We’re out a couple hundred bucks?”. ย He said something like, “Oh, we are going.”. ย I still had no idea until I saw the ring.
ย It didn’t even register when I looked over, and he was on his knee!”
The wedding day
Ray and Renee chose the stunning Alfond Inn in Winter Park to start their morning preparations. When we arrived, Renee was the picture of calm and relaxed! After getting her details photographed and gathering all the girls, we traveled over to Casa Feliz to get her dressed. I love the bridal suite at Casa Feliz for bridal portraits, and we used our time there to get some stunning shots of her and her girls! The rest of the day was a breeze – with a beautiful ceremony at the front of the house, followed by cocktails and then dinner on the back lawn.
