When it comes to venues, Alfond Inn weddings are one of our favorite venues to work with. Searching for the right place to get married is one of the first and most crucial steps in the planning process. Ultimately, it can affect how your photos turn out. The sophisticated architecture, combined with its beautifully landscaped gardens and courtyards, draws couples in from near and far! Whether we’re partying it up in the grand ballroom or having an intimate first look in the courtyard, every corner of the Alfond Inn offers a picture-perfect setting.
Park Avenue to Alfond Inn
One of our most recent weddings at the Alfond Inn was the celebration of Liz and Andrew! Park Avenue is a popular street in this area, full of shopping, eateries, and beautiful landscapes. Liz and Andrew grew fond of the quant area and after a few years of dating, Andrew proposed to Liz at one of the fountains on the Ave. After numerous date nights at Prato, the two fell in love with the charming streets and classic feel.
These are just a few of the reasons couples are drawn to the charming venue. Liz and Andrew were one of our first couples to get married at Alfond Inn since their stylish new upgrade. Which by the way looks soooo good! They added a whole new building equipped with stylish wallpaper, beautifully arranged décor, and tons of space in the bridal suite! One of the key elements in photography is lighting, we were super pleased with the new do. We typically start the day off with details, so we find the best natural light in the room and gather all the goodies. Luckily for us, Liz, who is super organized, had everything in a pile waiting for us and had picked up all the surroundings! Oh, and Brandon somehow got locked in the bathroom so that was a fun new element!
A Church Ceremony
Part of Park Avenue’s charm is the beautiful St Margaret Mary Catholic Church. It’s located near the end of Park Ave in Winter Park. Our traditional couples will often have their ceremony at one of the convenient churches and continue their celebration at Alfond Inn. One of the things I love about Liz and Andrew is that they trust me and allow me to be creative. They were down for anything and could not wait to party!
After their ceremony, we walked back to Alfond taking photos along the way. Of course, we also had to stop at the infamous fountain where they engaged! This really maximized our time with them and allowed for more scenic opportunities! It allowed them to be in the moment and enjoy their time together as a newly married couple before gathering around family and friends. We actually ran into a group of their friends who were ironically hanging out along the Avenue!
Caddy me, Please?
Lastly, the exceptional service provided by the Alfond Inn’s staff makes every couple feel like a boss and we love that! At every wedding, The Alfond assigns one staff member to caddy the couple. They make sure the couples stay well hydrated with water throughout the day and, of course, their signature drink! With the support of a dedicated team, we can concentrate on our creative process and, in turn, capture stunning, heartfelt photographs for our couples.
Liz and Andrew’s day was a seamless blend of modern and minimal with traditional and elegant details. Cocktail hour was buzzing in all the best ways with a live piano player to set the mood. The reception carried that energy and turned it all the way up! Liz could hardly contain herself, peeping through the doors eagerly waiting to make her grand entrance! The reception was led by the incredible C’Nergy band, and their impromptu dance-off literally brought Liz to her knees. It was definitely a night to remember.
I think it’s safe to say The Alfond Inn is a dream to work with. Its timeless elegance and meticulous detailing are just two of the reasons we love Alfond.
