Pet Photography Fundraiser to benefit Orlando animal rescue, The Pixel Fund
I talk a lot about my connection with The Pixel Fund, and Orlando animal rescue, on social media. But it’s something I’ve just started mentioning more recently on my blog. I’ve been super fortunate to have found them and, initially, I was just fostering. I really found it super rewarding – but being part of the rescue has opened my eyes to the financial difficulties rescues like The Pixel Fund face on a daily basis.
Some months my schedule doesn’t allow me to foster, so instead, I have started planning photography events where we can donate money instead! To date, our events have raised over $2285.00 for them!
Why did we choose The Pixel Fund?
Honestly, I love their mission. They focus on the most needy of animals. The orphaned, the sick, the abused and the at-risk. Their team of fosters loves and nurses them back to health before connecting them with adopters who will love them as much as we have. Every one of these animals has a story – they have a history. It’s our job to be empathetic, compassionate and patient while they learn to love and trust again.
I encourage you to join us – either by fostering, adopting, volunteering – or any way you’re able to help! We’re a small but mighty group and we love these animals with all our hearts!
To join us, read more on their website: http://www.thepixelfund.org/
Here’s a quick look back on 2 of our outdoor shoot events, Paws & Pics! Even Stephanie did her own sessions down in Celebration, while I photographed families and their pets in Oviedo!
I’m hoping to have another one of these soon – so if you’re a local photographer who would like to participate, please email me at [email protected]!
