There is nothing quite like a baby boy maternity session for a family I have known for years. I met Chloe and Thomas at their golden hour engagement session at Lake Louisa. Then I photographed their sentimental winter wedding at The Alfond Inn. After that, I got to be there for the births of their first two daughters. So when they told me their newest little one was a boy, I could not wait to see them again.
A family I have watched grow
Their wedding at The Alfond Inn in Winter Park is still one of the sweetest days I have ever photographed. Thomas’s daughter, Annabelle, was at the heart of it. Chloe read vows to her during the ceremony, and I still tear up thinking about it.
Since then, this family has only grown. Two little girls joined the crew, and I had the honor of photographing both of their births. Now a boy is on the way, and this house is about to get a whole lot louder!
Why I love a baby boy maternity session like this one
Sessions with returning families just feel easy. We skip the awkward warm-up and pick up right where we left off. Chloe and Thomas know how I work, so this baby boy maternity session felt more like a reunion than a photo shoot.
I love that these photos will sit right next to their wedding album and the girls’ birth stories. One day their son will flip through them and see how loved he was before he ever arrived.
As an Orlando family photographer, this is my favorite part of the job. I get to watch a family’s story unfold, one chapter at a time. If you are expecting and want to celebrate your own growing family, I would love to hear from you.
Chloe and Thomas, thank you for letting me be part of every chapter. I cannot wait to meet your little guy!
